Our 4 and 5 day motorcycle training courses in North Somerset and Bristol give you more than a licence – they give you the skills and confidence to truly enjoy the bike and the roads. At Gordano you will get more on-road time to master clutch control, balance and real-world roadcraft. We have higher first time pass rates, the old saying “buy cheap buy twice” is never more true than when it comes to motorcycle training. At Gordano we’re calm, thorough, highly experienced and the courses are tailored just to you so that you can ride anywhere with peace of mind. At Gordano we don’t believe in shortcuts and we provide support even after you pass – we’re here for your first solo rides.
We also provide bespoke Private Tuition
You can choose to have a private tuition Direct Access course with Paul at a fixed price of £3,265 plus test fees. In return you will receive bespoke tuition from an established industry expert and unlimited high quality tuition time. This time will be given until you feel and Paul sees that you are ready to pass your tests at a good and secured standard. Your skills will be solidly in place and you will have several mock tests for your on road Module 2. You will also benefit from free guaranteed training support should you need to retest.
You will be at a much higher level than the ‘average’ test pass after this course, safer, and much more equipped to deal with the unique skills of riding motorcycles. It will ensure you have the safest and best possible start to your motorcycling career. Also free with this course is DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme certificate, issued by Paul, once you have your full licence. The first 6 months after passing the motorcycle test are the most vulnerable for new licence holders. Paul’s high quality course takes this into consideration. And never worry about riding in the rain again!
Our New Rider Scheme of motorcycle training includes the Gordano Introductory Riding Course at £175 and the Gordano CBT course at £295. Our method is absolutely the very best way to learn to ride a motorcycle. Once you’ve completed our Introductory Riding Course and afterwards your separate CBT course, you can go on to the Direct Access Scheme (DAS) or the full A2 motorcycle licence. If you choose to get further practice on your own on the roads, riding a 125 for a while, you can ride unaccompanied with L plates. If you are renewing your CBT licence then it’s £225 for your course.
The route to a full licence itself can appear complex at first glance, so it’s best to recognise that it comes in 5 key stages. We’ve outlined these below for you.
Learn to ride a geared 125cc motorcycle – Complete CBT – Pass the Motorcycle Theory Test – Complete Module 1 – Complete Module 2. CBT and theory can be completed in either order.
The A1 category is for a full licence on a 125cc, the category A Direct Access Scheme (DAS) or category A2 are to ride big bikes. All licence categories must complete CBT, Theory, Module 1 and Module 2.
