Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is often mistaken for being a test. We believe that the industry needs to do far more to reassure new riders about this important issue. Please be assured however, it is not a test – it is a training course on which you will learn to ride Powered Two Wheelers.
The price of the course can vary from provider to provider because it’s determined by the quality of its delivery to you. And yes, because of the reduced quality in delivery of the course that happens too often, it can feel like a test to those new riders who have the misfortune to be on the receiving end.
You may have spoken to riders who say they felt rushed on their course – in all these thousands upon thousands of cases they will absolutely have experienced ‘a test’.
